Associate Attorney (Corporate)

Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a well-established regional law firm to identify experienced Title Attorneys for current and upcoming needs. This is a fully remote opportunity.

This role is ideal for attorneys with a strong background in title work who are looking to support a respected firm handling sophisticated real estate and/or oil & gas matters.

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and analyze title opinions and related documents

• Perform detailed title examinations and resolve title defects

• Provide legal support on real estate and/or oil & gas transactions

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients on title-related issues

• Ensure compliance with applicable state laws and regulations

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law

• Prior experience drafting and reviewing title in Pennsylvania and/or West Virginia

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

• Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines

Proxy Legal Staffing & Search Group has partnered with a regional law firm to identify an experienced civil litigation attorney for its Pittsburgh practice.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience handling a range of civil litigation matters, including areas such as liability defense, premises matters, construction-related disputes, product liability, and insurance coverage. Experience in insurance defense is helpful but not required.

Qualifications:

• JD from an accredited law school

• Active Pennsylvania bar admission

• Admission in Ohio and/or West Virginia is a plus

• Minimum of 6 years of civil litigation experience

• Experience managing cases from inception through resolution, including trial exposure

• Strong legal writing and advocacy skills

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file documents related to business transactions.

• Assist clients with contract negotiations and general transactional matters.

• Prepare estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, POAs, Health Care Directives).

• Conduct legal research and review work prepared by internal team members.

• Communicate professionally with clients and opposing counsel.

• Support business development and contribute to a positive team environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of transactional experience.

• Strong research, writing, and communication skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research tools.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Active PA law license.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Examine abstracts of titles, leases, contracts, and other legal documents to determine ownership of land, and gas, oil, and mineral rights. 
• Conduct detailed title examinations for oil and gas properties, including mineral rights and surface rights.
• Prepare and review title opinions.
• Search for and examine public records and write opinions on titles.

Education and Experience:

• Juris Doctorate Degree
• Must be admitted to PA bar, WV license is a plus
• 3 + years of oil & gas title experience
