Weekend Quality Technician I (Part-Time)

Location: Clinton, PA
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour  (night shift would receive an extra $1hr) 
Schedule: Saturday & Sunday only
Shift Options:
• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM
or
• Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
Hours: 24 hours per week
 

TOPS Staffing has partnered with a well-established manufacturing facility in Clinton, PA to hire Quality Technician I candidates for a part-time weekend shift. This is a great opportunity for candidates seeking steady weekend work, including recent graduates or college students looking to gain hands-on quality and inspection experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

The Quality Technician I supports manufacturing operations by performing inspections and testing to ensure products meet established quality standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and a commitment to product quality.

Essential Duties

Follow statistical sampling plans to assess product quality throughout the manufacturing process
Perform physical testing of components, including dimensional checks, weight verification, and visual inspections
Accurately document inspection results on batch records and quality documents
Investigate, report, and document discrepancies or nonconformances
Sample incoming raw materials, chemicals, and components
Conduct incoming, in-process, finished goods, and outgoing inspections
Make disposition decisions for inspected components and finished products

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
• At least 1 year of inspection, quality, or documentation experience preferred
• Open to new graduates and college students with relevant coursework or lab experience

Required Skills

Strong attention to detail with a high commitment to quality
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Clear and concise written communication skills
Comfortable completing documentation accurately and consistently
Basic understanding of inspection or quality processes

Preferred Skills

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel or similar programs

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands for handling tools and materials
Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
Work in an environment with moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, vibration, and exposure to chemicals

Must Haves

Must be willing and able to work 12-hour weekend shifts
Some experience with inspection and/or documentation
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Instrument Technician – Daylight Shift (Flexible Start 6AM–8AM)

Location: Plum, PA 
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts | Daylight | Flexible start time (7AM–9AM)

What we are looking for!

Are you a hands-on problem solver with a passion for learning technical systems? We’re seeking an Instrument Technician to join our team on daylight shift. This role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in instrumentation, calibration, and equipment maintenance. You’ll receive hands-on training in diagnostics, calibration, and troubleshooting to develop into a skilled instrumentation professional.


What You’ll Do:

  • Perform standardized calibration checks and record accurate data using system software

  • Identify, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and related components

  • Troubleshoot and repair basic issues with laboratory and production instrumentation

  • Conduct routine maintenance and equipment adjustments as needed

  • Handle and refill liquid gas tanks daily

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety protocols


What You’ll Bring:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience working with instrumentation (preferred), could come from a lot of different industries. 

  • Proficiency using a multimeter and other diagnostic tools
